CGX Emerge conference benefits clients
Billy Bradberry, president of Lincoln Printing; Bob Miller, a Lincoln sales representative; and some Lincoln customers were on hand for the 2012 Consolidated Graphics (CGX) Emerge conference in New Orleans this spring.
Hosted by CGX, with support from companies such as HP, Ricoh, and Kodak, Emerge brings together print providers, manufacturers, marketing leaders, creative experts, business executives, and others. The focus of the conference is the future of print and communications in general. The latest products and technologies were also showcased.
"Emerge is an example of how we go the extra mile for our clients," Bradberry says. "Consolidated Graphics and Lincoln Printing are investing in the success of our customers, now and in the long term.
"During Emerge, we bring in experts who share ideas and discuss the same things our clients deal with on a daily basis," Bradberry adds. "And whenever ideas are shared, solutions are born."
A highlight of the conference was the unveiling of a brand-new solution. CGX has partnered with Blurb to create Publish, the latest technology solution in CGX's WorkSmart Suite. Publish powered by Blurb enables customers to present their materials in high-end book form. And customers can do it quickly, effectively, affordably, and by printing as few as one book at a time.
The keynote speakers during Emerge 2012 included Jim Cartwright, senior vice president and managing director for Saatchi & Saatchi X; Brad Davis, chief marketing officer for Opus Bank; Laurie Tucker, senior vice president of corporate marketing for FedEx Services; and Bob Griese, Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback and TV football analyst.
